Angerona Mail

Terms

What an account agrees to when it is opened.

The agreement

These terms are the agreement between Angerona Mail and the holder of an account. They bind every key the account is issued, every inbox it creates and every agent that acts under its keys. Opening an account, or sending a message through one, is acceptance of them.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for every message that leaves your account, whether a person or an agent composed it, and for holding the consent or the relationship your sending class requires for each recipient. You keep your keys and logins to yourself; what is sent with them is yours.

Acceptable use

The acceptable-use policy is part of these terms. Its sending classes, its list of what is not allowed, its limits and its enforcement steps apply to every account exactly as that page states them.

Protecting delivery

We may throttle, hold or stop sending from an account when it endangers delivery for other senders, including when a limit is met, a bounce or complaint rate is crossed, a message scores as spam, or a blocklist listing is traced to the account. Whenever we do, we say why, with the evidence, and we say what must change. The steps and their timing are on the acceptable-use page.

The service as it is

The service is provided as it is and as it is available. We work to deliver every message and to keep every inbox reachable, but we do not promise that any particular message will reach any particular mailbox, since the receiving side has the last word, nor that the service will never be interrupted.

Liability

Our liability to an account for any failure of the service is limited to the fees that account paid for the period in which the failure occurred. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, or the consequences of mail that did not arrive, except where a law we are bound by does not allow that limit.

Ending an account

You may close your account at any time; export what you need first, since closed accounts are deleted with their mail. We may close an account under the enforcement steps of the acceptable-use policy, and when we do, the account's mail stays available to it for export for thirty days.

Changes to these terms

Changes to these terms are posted on this page. A change that tightens a limit or adds a rule is posted with notice before it takes effect, except where a law or the mailbox providers require it at once. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect is acceptance of it.

Questions

Questions about these terms go through the contact page. A person reads every message and answers.
